Fall is in full swing. Make this spicy, savory, and slightly sweet chili to warm the heart. Like a comfy delicious hug to the tongue, this is definitely The Most Delicious Homemade Chili EVER!

Ingredients:

  • 1lb Hamburger, 93/7
  • 1lb Ground turkey
  • 1 (16oz) can Kidney beans, low sodium
  • 1 (16oz) can Black beans, low sodium
  • 2 cans (16oz, 8oz) Tomato sauce, no salt added
  • 1 (8oz) can Tomato paste, no salt added
  • 1 cup beef bone broth
  • 1 large Tomato, diced
  • 1 large yellow Onion
  • 1 Medium green Bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1tsp Red chili flakes
  • 2tsp, 1tbsp Chili powder
  • 1/2tbsp, 1tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2tbsp, 1tsp Onion powder
  • 1/2tbsp, 2tsp Parsley powder
  • 1/2tbsp Paprika
  • 1tsp Smoke Paprika
  • 1/2tbsp, 1tsp Black pepper
  • 3 pinches Salt
  • 2tbsp brown sugar
  • 1tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • Chicken Bouillon cube

Directions

  1. Chop large onion, green bell pepper, and 2 cloves garlic. Set half bell pepper and 1/2 garlic to the side.
  2. In a large bowl combine; 1lb ground beef and 1lb ground turkey blending together. After mixing meats together season with ½ tbsp garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, 2 tsp chili powder, 2 pinches of salt
  3. Place seasoned meat mixture into large pot on medium heat to begin browning.
  4. Add in 1 large, chopped onion, 1/2 chopped green bell pepper, 1 chopped clove of garlic.
  5. Let seasoned meat and veggie mixture fry until meat is medium brown, veggies translucent, and juices from meat absorb.
  6. Drain excess oil from cooked meat.
  7. After you’ve finished draining cooked meat add the can of tomato paste to seasoned meat mixture and mix. Cook down until blended with meat.
  8. Mix in 1 cup of beef broth and a chicken bouillon cube and stir.
  9. Throw in the other half of bell pepper, 1 chopped garlic clove, 1 can of kidney beans drained (scrap flavor from bottom),1 can of black beans, and diced tomato.
  10. Let simmer on medium- low heat to let beans began to soften for 3-5mins stirring as needed
  11. Slowly begin adding in tomato sauce mixed with 1/4 cup water to meat and veggie mixture. Give it a good stir.
  12. Sprinkle in 1tbsp chili powder, 1tsp garlic, onion, paprika, black pepper, parsley, red chili flakes, and a pinch of salt to taste. Stir again, add in 2tbsp brown sugar and 1tbsp apple cider vinegar.
  13. Let simmer on low heat 5-7 minuets for chili to thicken
  14. Plate chili, top with your desired amount of mild cheddar cheese, sour cream, and chives on top.

Enjoy with some yummy cornbread or your desired side!
